Vistara, India’s renowned full-service carrier and a joint venture between the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, has achieved a significant milestone by flying 50 million customers within just eight years of operations. This remarkable achievement underscores Vistara’s rapid growth trajectory and highlights the trust that customers have placed in the airline.

Since its inception, Vistara has been committed to revolutionizing air travel in India, delivering unparalleled service, safety, comfort, and reliability. The airline has garnered the loyalty of millions of passengers by offering them the “new feeling of flying” with a world-class product, while simultaneously expanding its network and fleet. Presently, Vistara operates over 280 flights daily, boasting a fleet of 61 aircraft and connecting 32 airports across India and 15 international destinations.

To commemorate this momentous occasion, Vistara surprised its 50 millionth customer, Ms. Sanjana Singhal, by upgrading her to Business Class and reserving a specially marked seat for her on the flight. This gesture symbolizes the airline’s commitment to customer satisfaction and its gratitude for the unwavering support it has received over the years.

In celebration of this achievement, Vistara has launched a special campaign called “#50MillionFeelings.” This campaign aims to capture and showcase the airline’s cherished memories, emotional journeys, and remarkable experiences from the past eight years.

However, amidst this moment of triumph, Vistara also faces a significant transition. The brand will be discontinued following the merger of its operations with Air India. The Tata Group, which holds a partial stake in Vistara and full ownership of Air India, intends to merge the two airlines in early 2024. Regulatory approvals will be required for the merger to proceed smoothly. Recent reports indicate that the CCI has issued a notice to Vistara, seeking clarification on the proposed merger.
