In a bid to address the burgeoning demand for skilled aviators and to fuel its ambitious growth plans, the Air India Group has unveiled the ‘Fly High- Air India Cadet Pilot Programme’. This groundbreaking initiative, encompassing Air India, Air India Express, and Vistara, aims to cultivate the next generation of commercial airline pilots while nurturing a culture of excellence and innovation within the aviation industry.

The soaring demand for pilots in India mirrors global trends, and the Air India Group is proactively tackling this challenge head-on. The Fly High program will catalyze aspiring pilots, offering a comprehensive curriculum that covers a myriad of aviation subjects, including aerodynamics, navigation, aviation regulations, and aircraft systems. Moreover, the program boasts the guidance of seasoned flight instructors who bring a wealth of real-world experience to the table, ensuring that participants are not only educated but also inspired.

One of the program’s standout features is its emphasis on mentorship, providing cadets with unparalleled access to Air India’s experienced pilots and aviation professionals. Gain unique insights into the aviation industry and build lasting connections that will prove instrumental as you embark on your career as a pilot.

To further bolster its commitment to pilot development, Air India is establishing its own Training Academy in Gurgaon, India, where aspiring pilots, cabin crew, ground staff, security personnel, and engineers will undergo rigorous training. Additionally, the Air India Group has forged partnerships with renowned flying schools, AeroGuard Flight Training Center and L3Harris Flight Academy, in the United States have been chosen for the Cadet Program.

For aspiring pilots seeking financial assistance, Air India has partnered with a leading financial institution to facilitate training financing options. However, cadets have the flexibility to choose their preferred financial partner according to their convenience.

The eligibility criteria for the Cadet Pilot Program are stringent, requiring candidates to be Indian citizens aged between 18 to 30 years, proficient in written and spoken English and meet specific educational and medical standards. The selection process spans five stages, including online application submission, technical and non-technical evaluations, and panel interviews, ensuring that only the most qualified candidates are chosen to join the prestigious program.

Through Fly High: Air India Cadet Pilot Program, the Air India Group is not only shaping the future of aviation but also empowering aspiring pilots to reach new heights of excellence. With a steadfast commitment to training, mentorship, and innovation, Air India is poised to lead the charge in developing the next generation of commercial airline pilots.
