Air India, flag bearer of the soaring nation under the Tata Group umbrella, has taken flight with a bold new brand identity and aircraft livery that embody the spirit of a resurgent India. Today’s unveiling marks a significant step in the airline’s ambitious transformation journey, known as Vihaan.AI, from a national institution to a symbol of national inspiration.
At the heart of the revamped look is a reinterpretation of the iconic Indian window shape, a design element synonymous with Air India’s legacy. Now presented as a striking gold window frame, this motif takes center stage in the airline’s modern brand design system, evoking a powerful “Window of Possibilities.”
The newly introduced emblem, named ‘The Vista,’ draws inspiration from the summit of the gold window frame. This emblem captures the essence of limitless possibilities, progressiveness, and Air India’s unwavering confidence in its future endeavors.

Campbell Wilson, the Managing Director and CEO of Air India, emphasized the significance of the visual overhaul, stating,
“Colors, patterns, shapes, and their symbolism are crucial, but the impact of our actions speaks volumes. We are undergoing a complete transformation to redefine the role of India’s flagship airline.”
With the launch of an updated website and mobile app, Air India is propelling itself into the digital age, offering passengers an enhanced online experience replete with innovative tools and features.

Founded by the visionary JRD Tata, Air India has long been a pioneering force in India’s aviation sector. Since its maiden flight on October 15, 1932, the airline has forged an extensive domestic network and connected global destinations spanning the USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Far-East, South-East Asia, Australia, and the Gulf. In January 2022, after a 69-year government-owned tenure, Air India and Air India Express were reintegrated into the Tata Group fold.
As Air India embarks on this audacious transformation, the airline is poised to redefine not only the skies it traverses but also the very essence of India’s aviation prowess on the global stage. The unveiling of the new brand identity and aircraft livery serves as a harbinger of the airline’s boundless potential and unshakable commitment to soaring toward new horizons.
