Starting August, Vietjet, a leading Vietnamese airline, will launch direct flights between Kochi and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), providing a convenient travel option for passengers. The inaugural flight is scheduled for August 12, and the service will operate with a frequency of four flights per week, departing on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Passengers traveling from Kochi can look forward to a seamless journey as Vietjet’s flights are designed to cater to their needs. The departure from Kochi is scheduled for 11:50 pm (local time), and the arrival in Ho Chi Minh City is expected at 6:40 am (local time). For the return leg, the flights will depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 7:20 pm (local time) and arrive back in Kochi at 10:50 pm (local time).

The announcement of this new route was made during a special event in Kochi, which was attended by Nguyen Thanh Hai, the ambassador of Vietnam to India, and Jay L. Lingeswara, the vice president of commerce for Vietjet.

Moreover, the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, had the opportunity to meet with Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai, further emphasizing the importance of the new route for both Kerala and Vietnam. This direct connection between the two regions marks a significant milestone for Kochi airport and the tourism industry in both countries.
