With the addition of Jamnagar, IndiGo will now serve six destinations in Gujarat — Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, and Jamnagar. The new route will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft and is expected to support both business and leisure travel while improving connectivity to the upcoming Navi Mumbai aviation hub.
Strengthening Regional Connectivity
Jamnagar plays a key role in Gujarat’s industrial landscape, with major contributions from the energy, petrochemicals, ports, and manufacturing sectors. By connecting the city directly with Navi Mumbai, IndiGo aims to facilitate smoother movement of business travelers and improve access to wider domestic and international destinations through its expanding network.
The airline said the new service will help strengthen economic ties between the region and major commercial centres, while also supporting tourism and regional development.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, said the addition highlights the airline’s continued focus on expanding regional connectivity. He noted that the new Jamnagar service follows the recent announcement of Bhavnagar in the airline’s network and further strengthens IndiGo’s presence in western India by linking key regional centres with major metropolitan hubs.
