In a recent social media release, FlyBig Airlines announced the temporary suspension of its operations in the North-East region to facilitate necessary rectification and maintenance of its fleet. This strategic move is being taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the ongoing safety and reliability of FlyBig’s services. The airline has clarified that the suspension will not affect its Twin Otter operations.
The airline has deployed 19-seater Twin Otter aircraft on routes connecting Tezu and Hollongi with Guwahati and Rupsi.
Airline said in the statement:
Our team is actively working on rectifying the issues with the aircraft, and we anticipate providing an update regarding the resumption of operations very soon.
FlyBig Airlines, known for connecting tier-II cities, operates on routes secured under the Centre’s UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) regional aviation scheme.
