Continuing the expansion of its India-Malaysia air connectivity, AirAsia today welcomed the first flight from the southern city of Thiruvananthapuram – making this the airline’s second direct route to the state of Kerala after Kochi.
This new route operates with a frequency of four times weekly, offering travelers increased options to explore the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of Kerala via its capital city Thiruvananthapuram, often dubbed ‘God’s Own Country’. The enchanting Thiruvananthapuram is home to numerous architectural marvels, traditional mouth-watering Kerala cuisine, pristine beaches, quaint markets, and much more.
To celebrate this milestone, guests onboard flight AK8 were given a hearty welcome by the Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture, YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing as well as Bo Lingam, Group CEO of AirAsia Aviation Group Limited. Excited guests received exclusive AirAsia goodie bags and were only too thrilled to pose for photo-ops with the guests of honor.
