AirAsia, the Malaysian-based airline, is set to prioritize fleet and network expansion within ASEAN countries as it embarks on rebuilding its brand after a challenging period. By the end of August 2023, the carrier plans to have all 204 of its planes back in operation, signaling a significant recovery.
In order to facilitate its expansion plans, AirAsia is currently in talks with Airbus to secure additional aircraft. These strategic moves demonstrate AirAsia’s commitment to regaining its position in the aviation industry and catering to the growing demand for travel in the ASEAN region.
