In a bid to enhance connectivity and meet growing demand, Air India has announced an increase in the frequency of flights on its Delhi to Washington route. Starting from December 23, passengers can avail of the added convenience with the airline now operating five flights per week, up from the current four.
The expanded schedule will see flights operating on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and the latest inclusion – Saturday. This addition aims to accommodate the diverse travel needs of passengers, providing more options for those planning trips between the Indian capital and the U.S. capital.
Air India, with a fleet of 122 aircraft, boasts a diverse range of models, including 14 A319s, 9 A320s, 13 A321s, 31 A320neos, 4 A321neos, 23 B777s, and 27 B787s. The airline is set to expand further with the imminent addition of six new A350 aircraft, complementing its existing fleet.
In June 2023, Air India solidified its commitment to modernization by finalizing orders for 250 Airbus aircraft and 220 Boeing jets, signaling its strategic vision for the future.
