In anticipation of a breathtaking air show by the Indian Air Force as part of the World Cup Final ceremony, airspace in the vicinity of Ahmedabad is set to be temporarily closed today from 1:25 PM to 2:10 PM. The event promises to be a highlight of the World Cup Final, showcasing the prowess and precision of the Indian Air Force.
In preparation for the temporary closure, the airport operator has diligently coordinated with nearby airports to address potential challenges arising from the surge in demand for night parking. The proactive approach aims to ensure seamless operations and accommodation for aircraft that may require parking facilities during the World Cup Finals on the weekend.
Heavy charter movement is expected from Saturday to Monday at Ahmedabad Airport due to the World Cup Final Match and the airport currently boasts a total of 15 stands available for night parking. Among these, six have been specifically allocated for business jet operations.
