Noida International Airport (NIA) has announced that its construction and development work at Noida International Airport is at an advanced stage and NIA continue to pass important milestones on the road to operational readiness. This is a large and complex project, and the next few weeks of construction activities are crucial. Work on the runway, the passenger terminal and the control tower, is well advanced. Recently, the concessions for ground handling, the operation of commercial areas and important maintenance contracts were awarded. In addition, agreements have been signed with several airlines for flight connections from Noida International Airport.

In view of the current construction status, Noida International Airport (NIA) expect to begin commercial operations by end of April 2025. NIA said they are working together with their EPC contractor Tata Projects Limited and with other stakeholders to keep the pace of construction activities and preparations for operational readiness high. NIA said it is committed to their goal of delivering a sustainable and world-class airport for Delhi NCR and Uttar Pradesh.

Noida International Airport (NIA) has recently awarded the concession for retail and duty-free to a consortium of Heinemann Asia Pacific and BWC Forwarders Private Limited. This includes the concession for duty-free, to be operated by Heinemann, as well as master concessions for domestic retail and international duty-paid retail, to be operated by BWC Forwarders.

Noida International Airport (IATA code – DXN) will connect the greater Delhi area and Western Uttar Pradesh with other cities in India and the world. This world-class airport will combine Swiss efficiency and Indian hospitality to offer rich experiences and comprehensive commercial attractions and services to its passengers. NIA will be the first airport in its class in India to achieve net zero emissions, setting a new standard for sustainable airport operations. At its opening, the airport will feature one runway and one terminal and handle a capacity of 12 million passengers – with the potential for further development in additional construction phases.
